Madden NFL 27 Closed Beta

The Madden NFL 27 closed beta took place before launch and is no longer available. EA used the beta to collect feedback on gameplay, Franchise, presentation, audio, and Ultimate Team before Madden NFL 27 released worldwide on August 13, 2026.

Changes EA described after the beta

In its launch guide, EA listed updates that followed beta feedback:

• gameplay fixes for QB Sneaks, Formation Shift controls, the Classic Kick Meter, and coverage-adjustment feedback;
• more control and clearer information in Franchise contract negotiations and Free Agent Frenzy;
• presentation fixes for halftime reports, weekly recaps, commentary selection, and stadium details;
• audio tuning for commentary, weather lines, music, crowds, and team-specific effects; and
• Ultimate Team improvements to Evolution, objectives, the Auction House, Captains, challenges, leaderboards, and matchmaking.

Current ways to play

The beta did not carry over into the live game. Madden NFL 27 is now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC. Use the current game build and EA support resources rather than old beta instructions when troubleshooting or learning a mode.
