Madden NFL 27 on PS5

Madden NFL 27 is available on PlayStation 5. Worldwide access began on August 13, 2026 at 2:00 PM ET.

The August 6 date was not the standard PS5 launch. It was the start of seven-day early access for eligible MVP+ members on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Deluxe Edition and MVP Bundle owners received three-day early access beginning August 10.

PS5 features

The PS5 version includes the full Madden NFL 27 experience, including Franchise, Superstar, Ultimate Team, Play Now, online head-to-head, Team Builder support, and cross-play in supported online modes.

The main gameplay and mode additions include:

• the Persona Engine in Franchise;
• new WR/DB interactions and timing-based catching;
• dynamic weather and evolving field conditions;
• custom pre-play adjustments and rebuilt short-yardage play; and
• the G.O.A.T. Career Journey in Superstar.

Which edition should PS5 players choose?

Early-access windows have ended. Compare the edition shown in the PlayStation Store with the current EA product page before buying, because bonus content, availability, and regional pricing can change.

Cross-play and Team Builder

EA lists cross-play support between PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S in supported online modes. Team Builder teams can be used in Franchise on PS5 after they are created and downloaded through the in-game Download Center.
